Bergensbaneløpet is one of Norway’s most iconic student events — a 500 km relay race between Oslo and Bergen, organized each year by students from Handelshøyskolen BI and Norges Handelshøyskole (NHH). The race follows the historic railway route Bergensbanen, crossing mountains, valleys, and small towns along the way.
As the event photographer, my goal was to capture the intensity, exhaustion, and pure joy that define this unique competition. From sunrise in the fjords to late-night checkpoints in the mountains, every moment told a story of teamwork and endurance.
Through my lens, I wanted to show more than just running — I wanted to highlight the human connection behind it all. Friends cheering for each other after sleepless nights, teams sharing laughter despite the cold, and the pride of representing their school across Norway’s dramatic landscape.
